Deep reading of Simha

Simha is the royal sign of the Sun - here Surya brightly manifests the atma (soul). It grants poise, honor and natural charisma. The nakshatras here are Magha, Purva Phalguni and the first three quarters of Uttara Phalguni. Magha is the nakshatra of ancestors and the throne room - a sense of dynastic responsibility. Purva Phalguni is playful and amorous. Karmically Simha learns to serve through leadership, not to dominate. Weaknesses are ego and the hunger for recognition. Upayas: ruby or garnet, Sun salutations (Surya Namaskar), loyalty to one's word, community work as patronage.
