Despair

When we dream of despair, it is often a sign of accumulated tension and stress that our consciousness cannot process during the day. It draws attention to situations in waking life where we may feel helpless or stuck. According to Jungian psychology, despair can be a manifestation of repressed emotions seeking an outlet, or a warning from the collective unconscious about the need for change.
