Pentagram

The pentagram, a five-pointed star, has a dual interpretation in dreams. With its point upward, it symbolizes the spirit, the balance of the five elements (earth, air, fire, water, spirit), human perfection, and divine protection. It signifies strength, will, and the manifestation of higher ideals. With its point downward, it can denote a deviation from the spiritual path, attachment to the materialistic, or negative forces. In Jungian terms, it can represent an archetype of human wholeness, conscious and unconscious.
