Abyss

An abyss in a dream is a powerful symbol of uncertainty, fear of the unknown, or impending radical changes. It can reflect a sense of loss of control, danger, or risk of failure. A positive interpretation is associated with the possibility of growth, overcoming fears, and realizing hidden reserves. A negative one is related to anxiety, helplessness, or a feeling of being in a chasm. According to Jungian psychology, the abyss can be an encounter with the archetype of the Shadow or the boundary of consciousness. Spiritually, it represents a challenge to face our deepest fears and trust in our inner strength, crossing "beyond" what we know towards true transformation.
